Beware of fake e-mail on tax refund - 22 July 2010
Tax payers have been advised to ignore emails purportedly sent by the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) asking them to claim for refund for overpaid income tax.
IRB said the e-mails sent through an address Tax-Payment@hasil.gov.my did not originate from the Board.

Notice on Annual Service Fee on Inactive Savings and Current Account - 8 January 2010
We wish to advise that effective February 2010, a service fee of RM10-00 will be debited annually from all inactive Savings and Current Accounts i.e. accounts which do not have customer initiated transactions for 12 months or more until the account turns dormant (inactive for 7 years), and there after the remaining balances will be sent to the Registrar of Unclaimed Moneys. If your account is inactive, please visit any of our branches to reactivate your account.
